UTR Pitch
TGI is partnered with Garaz Tennis Events which are premised on Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) platform. UTR events are powered by Oracle Corporation. Oracle is an American multinational computer technology corporation headquartered in Austin, Texas. The Embassy of Swiss Confederation in Zimbabwe is partnered with TGI/UTR Garaz Events since 2020.
UTR is the most accurate global rating system used by the world’s premier tennis academies, clubs, colleges, high schools, organizations and tournaments. The UTR database has 1.8 million profiles includes results from more than 15 million matches and 200+ countries and growing this 2021. All players, regardless of age, gender, geography or skill level, are rated on the same scale between 1 and 16.50 based on actual match results. TGI will be using the UTR Garaz Events system to operate tennis tournaments.
Opportunities for Aspiring Professionals
Universal Tennis “PRO TENNIS TOUR” is investing over $20M and enabling 140 worldwide annual events in a three-year UTR Pro Tennis Tour. These singles-only events are for men and women UTR Rank 200-2000 with an innovative format that guarantees more player competition and prize money.
Male players must have a UTR of at least 12.5 and be outside the top 200 Professional Tennis Tour (PTT) ranking. Players ranked 1-200 or outside the top 2000 will only be accepted with a wild card approved by UTR. All other eligible players will be placed in the alternate list.
